4 Favorite Photography Locations in Pittsburgh, PA

I've live in Pittsburgh for the past 6 years . Renowned for its distinctive vantage points, Pittsburgh stands out among U.S. cities, surrounded by the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio rivers. These waterways consistently contribute unique elements to my compositions, whether it's the interplay of reflections, the mystique of fog, the presence of boats, or the formation of ice during colder periods. Below, I've highlighted my preferred photo spots around Pittsburgh, each chosen to showcase the city's beauty and individuality.

One of the joys of photographing Pittsburgh lies in experiencing all four seasons. Winter brings the anticipation of frigid temperatures, transforming the rivers into frozen landscapes. Spring leads me to seek out redbud trees adorned with delicate pink blossoms. Summer is a time to capture the drama of thunderstorms sweeping through the city. And as fall arrives, Point State Park, situated at the confluence of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers, becomes a prime location to capture the vibrant hues of autumn foliage.
